On Sunday, I performed with vibraphonist Nicola Cannizzaro in a new duo collaboration. Nic is a percussionist and timpanist with whom I have played in various orchestras for ten years or more, but it was the first time we performed as a duo. The program featured some of my compositions,  transcriptions of Hermeto Pascoal, Adam Larrabee, and Anouar Brahem, as well as music by Chick Corea, Miles Davis, and others. The concert was a part of Winchester Community Music School’s Back to Back concert series. The first half of the concert featured violist Alexander Vavilov performing solo pieces by Bach and Hindemith.
